how to start a healthy lifestyle and stick to it According to NIH study
Starting a healthy lifestyle depends on many factors
1. Eat Clean
Healthy eating starts at home. You don't have to spend hours cooking fancy meals; just make sure to eat cleanly. Avoid foods high in sugar, salt, and fat, and opt for whole grains, fruits, vegetables, lean protein, and healthy fats instead. Don't go overboard with portion sizes either - aim for 2-3 servings per day.
2. Get Moving
Exercise is great for your body, mind, and soul, and it doesn't need to take up much time. Start slowly if you're not already active, and gradually increase how often and how long you exercise. My training course Try walking, running, cycling, swimming, yoga, Pilates, dance, or anything else that's fun!
3. Sleep Well
Getting enough sleep helps keep your body functioning properly and gives your brain time to rest and recharge. Aim for between 6 and 9 hours of sleep each night. If you don't get enough sleep, you may feel tired throughout the day, and you'll find yourself getting crankier and less productive.
4. Be Mindful
Be mindful about what you put in your mouth. Focus on your food and drink before you consume them. Take note of any cravings you experience, and try to avoid reaching for junk food. Instead, choose fresh fruit, veggies, nuts, seeds, beans, fish, chicken, and lean meats.
5. Drink Water
Drinking plenty of water keeps your body feeling refreshed and cleanses toxins out of your system. Make sure to drink at least 8 glasses of water daily, and drink even more if you're exercising or working outside in hot weather.
6. Breathe Deeply
Breathing deeply helps calm our minds and relax us. When we breathe deeply, oxygen flows into our lungs and fills us with positive feelings of relaxation and joy.
7. Say No
If you absolutely have to say yes to something, then do it graciously. Saying no lets you be kinder to yourself, and it makes others respect you more.
